If You Want A Guarantee … Buy A Toaster

If you want a guarantee ... buy a toaster.

If you want a guarantee ... buy a toaster.

Well, I’ve planned and researched as much as I could … and am leaving this week for the Philippines. It won’t be the first time that I’ll be living abroad, I’ve done it before. But it will be the first time that I will actually retire abroad and take up living overseas on a permanent basis.

I will turn off my internet services tomorrow, so will be out of contact until I am settled in the Philippines and have my internet set up again. I have several rentals already eyeballed so I hope my transition to living abroad will be relatively quick.

But there are no guarantees in life, so I’ll play it by ear. There’s a new poll up. Feel free to vote on how you think I will fare in my new life in the Philippines. LOL … maybe start up a pool to see how long I can last.

Anyway, I’m already planning out trips to various places in the Philippines and will probably start up a new blog on Philippines living. I also have very rough plans to travel on to Singapore and Malaysia for short visits. I’m still debating whether or not to stay in once country for a year and move to another the next. Or to keep the Philippines as my base and journey abroad to Asia on shorter trips.

Well, I don’t plan to live forever (just until I’m 120) so here goes nothing …

See you all again, when I see you. I’ve written a few articles in advance so the content won’t grow stale. I will miss looking at the little red dots on my blog map and your smiling faces on the mybloglog visitor map. Until next …
